Amal Kurukulasooriya

Head Coach

With a deep passion for the game and years of coaching experience, Amal leads our cricket development program with a focus on nurturing talent across all age groups. His coaching philosophy emphasizes discipline, teamwork, and continuous improvement — whether working with beginners learning the basics or advanced players preparing for league matches.
Amal’s expertise, dedication, and personalised approach have made him a respected mentor among players and parents alike. Under his guidance, our young cricketers not only build skills but also grow in confidence, sportsmanship, and love for the game.

Rahul Hore

Coach

With over 20 years of coaching experience, Rahul Hore brings a deep well of cricketing knowledge and passion to Woodford Green Cricket Club. His impressive track record includes:
  • Coaching Essex County teams for 5 years
  • Leading regional U14 squads for 3 years
  • Currently coaching the MCCF U15 and U16 squads
Rahul has worked extensively with county-level players, making him a key figure in identifying and nurturing young talent. His strategic mindset, technical expertise, and ability to connect with players of all ages set him apart as a coach.
Whether refining a bowler’s line and length or helping a batter master shot selection, Rahul’s sessions are always focused, effective, and inspiring. He is committed to developing well-rounded cricketers with a winning mindset, both on and off the field.
As a core part of our coaching team, Rahul plays a vital role in preparing players for competitive cricket and helping them achieve their full potential.
